  Just when you think you are getting better...

  i have been thinking that i am over it - i am ok - i am not angry anymore, but after a conversation with one of my best friends today, well i am not sure.... my husband comes from an anglican/catholic background.

  we, however, as a couple are not religious at all and have never tried to take our kids to church or sunday school etc.

  i sometimes feel that we should be giving them some attempt at a christian education, but i cannot bring myself to go to a church.

  My real name is Worldly Andre,he he he, I didn't really try to lead the JW's girls astray but that was because I had worldly GF's. I did kind of have a name that other young kids in the kingdumb hall called me Night Stalker, after Richard Ramirez.

  HA HA, My family moved to a very small town, where most people in the hall looked either like a 1972 sears catalog or cowboys. Now imagine me coming to town. They thought I was in to witchcraft at this point, because why else was I rejecting the ORG!

  any wiccans on here right now? need info

  so i wake with a bat in my bedroom,,,no idea how it got in,,,,got lights on, opened front door, dog in hand, pillow in the other,,bat, flew three times, from bedroom around thru living room to kitchen,,,then right out the door.

  now i did ssome research online,,,,and it is a bad omen,,death,,,and the three times even more so of a more closer person to me.

  do any of you have any other thoughts on this,,thank you.

  When Disfellowshipping extends outside the KH; shunning that never ends

  i was talking about this the other day to a friend that is an attorney for abused children and we started discussing strange family practices and how they affect children.

  it was during that conversation that i remembered something i hadn't thought about in years - when i was 12 years old my step-father and mother tried to practice a form of shunning (disfellowshipping) in the family.

  of course it wasn't my mother's idea, it was my neurotic mentally deranged stepfather that decided because my mother and i had disagreed about something in a silly judicial meeting, that i was to be shunned from the family.

  why is it that jw's are so afraid to talk to anyone who questions the beliefs, or in general says anything bad about the org.

  case in point here i have a friend his family are all jw's not the best of the crowd but they are trying, anyway his brother and i were talking and i was telling him about how some of my cousins have left the org, and even showed him a funny picture of all of us wearing jehovah's witness protection program t-shirts there were about 7 of us in the photo.

  he ended the converstation very rapidly and left.. i was not really telling him anything that bad, and i was just mostly joking with him, honestly i didn't think he was all that much of a jw, before he got married he lived with his gf, i have heard he likes to party, and for the most part you'd swear he wasn't a jw, not even baptized.

Not trying to say he is all bad but just about as worldly as any worldly person.

  I heard from my friend that his brother was totally offended by me, and asked if I was in some kind of cult, and what was I "in to" and he was shocked that I attacked him on the JW stuff. I was like what the fuck!! First of all I was only showing him the picture because I was telling him how my cousins and I are blacklisted in the family, I was telling him our story, but in a very funny way in no way directly "attacking" him. I just saw him today and he avoided me like if I was not even in the same room, this coming from the same guy who has some very interesting stories about trips to strip clubs and TJ.

  Anyway my question is this, Why do JW's get so offended at even the slightest mention of anything Anti-JW? As many of you know I am a Catholic now, I never get pissed off when people joke about catholics, or anything in fact one of my friends who is a Mormon we often make fun of each other.
